“Excellent public protection in the KRNL386.EXE module.”
A driver conflict has occurred. In most cases, this is Norton’s antivirus driver called DataSafe.
- Select Start, then Run.
- Enter “System.ini”.
- When Notepad opens, scroll down to the main Startup section.
- In this section, find the line “Drivers=…”. It should look like this:
- Put a perfect semicolon (;) at the beginning of this line to convey the idea.
- In the section, start a new line “Drivers=…”. To create a course, you want to be included on exactly the line that you precede with each semicolon, but your site doesn’t want to specify the path to the driver. For example, in this example, you start by not adding C:DataSafeDataSafe.exe. Therefore, the line will be like this:
- Select “File” then “Save”.
- Exit the editor.
- Restart your computer. Should
Drivers=mmsystem.dll c:DataSafeDataSafe.exe power.drv
Drivers=mmsystem as.dll power.drv
You will no longer receive an error message.
